WHAT THE HELL IS THE LOGITECH REVUE WITH GOOGLE TV?
It’s a middleman that lives between your TV and cable/satellite box. It runs Google TV software and turns your TV into an Internet-connected media center.
That’s it. That’s what it does. Still hazy? It’s understandable if you are. Set-top boxes make sense when it comes to cable and satellite. Those boxes allow you to watch shows and networks you pay for and scramble the ones you don’t. Basically, your cable/satellite box is a middleman between your TV and the cable/satellite provider.
The Logitech Revue is another middleman. But rather than charging monthly fees for equipment or programming this is connected to the Internet, either wirelessly or via Ethernet cable, and benignly infiltrates (some may say “enhances”) your cable/satellite service.
The actual hardware is a slim and sleek Revue unit with a slimmer and sleeker wireless keyboard. Plug the HDMI cable from your cable box into the back, plug the included HDMI cable from the Revue into the TV, plug the Revue into the wall, and have a seat.
